    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 4.760 points to 1629.730.

    Volume was 1.089 billion lots worth RM1.553 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 409 to 304.
