MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 17.11 points to 1,577.85.

Volume was 10.589 billion lots worth RM 6.918 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 665 to 445.
