    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 12.61 points to 1,593.75.

    Volume was 3.111 billion lots worth RM2.602 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 573 to 386.
