    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday (Oct 5), with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 11.19 points to 1,420.55.

    Volume was 3.234 billion lots worth RM1.720 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 518 to 350.
