MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 16.11 points to 1,537.54.

Volume was 11.594 billion lots worth RM5.385 billion.

Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 551 to 537.
