MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 5.96 points to 1,720.38.

Volume was 1.956 billion lots worth RM2.798 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 477 to 400.
