MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 22.16 points to 1,599.11.

Volume was 2.5 billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 423 to 417.
