    Malaysia share prices closed lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 10.44 points to 1,686.51. Volume was 2.1 billion lots worth RM2.05 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 449 to 383.
