MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 4.57 points to 1,754.67.

Volume was 2.9 billion lots worth RM2.5 billion.

Losers narrowly outnumbered gainers 481 to 411.
