MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 4.16 points to 1,494.64.

Volume was 6.925 billion lots worth RM4.103 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 894 to 311.
