    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 4.940 points to 1,686.440.

    Volume was 1.342 billion lots worth RM1.364 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 324 to 401.
