    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday (Oct 7), with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 14.43 points to 1,406.00.

    Volume was 1.910 billion lots worth RM1.434 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 485 to 308.
