    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 2.990 points to 1,767.080.

    Volume was 1.644 billion lots worth RM2.203 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 495 to 335.
