MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 16.05 points to 1,678.10.

Volume was two billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 520 to 298.
