MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 20.34 points to 1,641.62.

Volume was 1.5 billion lots worth RM1.2 billion.

Losers far outnumbered gainers 689 to 179.
