MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 14.97 points to 1,628.66.

Volume was 2.6 billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 445 to 411.
