MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.800 points to 1,754.780.

Volume was 1.739 billion lots worth RM2.232 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 538 to 288.
