MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 4.74 points to 1,575.16.

Volume was 5.327 billion lots worth RM2.971 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 531 to 443.
