MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 3.54 points to 1,588.08.

Volume was 3.072 billion lots worth RM2.183 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 597 to 410.
