MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.38 points to 1,512.22.

Volume was 4.901 billion lots worth RM3.484 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 993 to 195.
