MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 6.85 points to 1,601.65.

Volume was 6.752 billion lots worth RM4.614 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 582 to 508.
