MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 12.12 points to1,578.45.

Volume was 7.208 billion lots worth RM3.574 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 605 to 451.
