MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 3.53 points to 1,583.92.

Volume was 5.977 billion lots worth RM3.534 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 844 to 297.
