MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.60 points to 1,493.00.

Volume was 3.429 billion lots worth RM2.380 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 594 to 440.
