MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 7.60 points to 1,581.59.

Volume was 4.435 billion lots worth RM2.894 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 624 to 476.
