MALAYSIA shares closed lower on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.84 points to 1570.13.

Volume was 3.997 billion lots worth RM2.403 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers by 669 to 361.
