MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 31.39 points to 1,530.92.

Volume was 3,471.5 billion lots worth RM3.227 billion.

Loser outnumbered gainers 992 to 179.
