MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 16.22 points to 1,566.86.

Volume was 4.049 billion lots worth RM2.732 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 624 to 422.
