MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 10.42 points to 1,629.41.

Volume was 9.530 billion lots worth RM5.438 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 759 to 435.
