MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 4.67 points to 1,597.73.

Volume was 6.011 billion lots worth RM3.037 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 580 to 429.
