MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.73 points to 1,531.63.

Volume was 6.755 billion lots worth RM 3.654 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 580 to 417.
