MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 6.28 points to 1,577.64.

Volume was 5.045 billion lots worth RM2.710 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 980 to 199.
