MALAYSIA shares closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.25 point to 1555.26.

Volume was 4.495 billion lots worth RM3.06 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 519 to 492.
