MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.42 points to 1,529.02.

Volume was 4.12 billion lots worth RM3.163 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 584 to 382.
