MALAYSIA shares closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.61 point to 1522.27.

Volume was 3.037 billion lots worth RM2.093 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers by 506 to 402.
