MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 35.68 points to 1,573.51.

Volume was 8.493 billion lots worth RM4.226 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 858 to 304.
