MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 10.80 points to 1,580.52.

Volume was 5.742 billion lots worth RM4.039 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 905 to 228.
