MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 6.33 points to 1,641.17.

Volume was 6.677 billion lots worth RM2.830 billion.

Losers narrowly outnumbered gainers 587 to 514.
