    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday (Sep 1), with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 20.10 points to 1,491.95.

    Volume was 2.444 billion lots worth RM2.023 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 661 to 269.
