    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 17.45 points to 1,582.98.

    Volume was 2.682 billion lots worth RM2.379 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 628 to 380.
