    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.50 points to 1,549.41.

    Volume was 2.690 billion lots worth RM2.231 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 692 to 272.
