MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 7.00 points to 1,643.74.

Volume was 2 billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Gainers beat losers 397 to 379.
