    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday (Aug 2) with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 7.02 points to 1,495.05.

    Volume was 2.861 billion lots worth RM1.597 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers 699 to 228.
