MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 15.97 points to 1,631.92.

Volume was 7.836 billion lots worth RM 4.140 billion.

Losers far outnumbered gainers 1,045 to 252.
