    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 24.87 points to 1,697.60.

    Volume was two billion lots worth RM2 billion.

    Losers beat gainers 727 to 170.
