MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 6.92 points to 1,564.74.

Volume was 27.797 billion lots worth RM7.803 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 722 to 483.
