MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 7.09 points to 1,690.41.

Volume was 2.2 billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Losers vastly outnumbered gainers 487 to 299.
