MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.15 points to 1,687.41.

Volume was 2.7 billion lots worth about RM2 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 425 to 406.
