MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.33 points to 1,736.14.

Volume was 2.486 billion lots worth RM2.128 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 599 to 276.
