MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 14.69 points to 1,736.95.

Volume was 3.2 billion lots worth RM2.9 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 576 to 319.
